confident image of the female Gray Wolf shows her in the early throws of Spring,
with her healthy winter coat reflecting her new found ranking in the pack, returning
alongside the Beta-male of a captive Highland pack.
In the northern Highlands c1500 it was reported rumour of a tradition to cut down the forests near Wick for they sheltered wolves.
